The incident occurred while Sir Ian was performing a fight scene and lost his balance. As of now, there has been no confirmation regarding the injuries sustained by the actor.
As a result of this incident, the audience was evacuated from the theatre and informed that the evening's show was canceled. "Player Kings" is a production of "Henry IV, Parts One and Two" which began its run in the West End in April with a 12-week schedule.
Sir Ian, who plays John Falstaff, fell while navigating a battle scene involving the Prince of Wales and Henry Percy. When the house lights were turned on, the actor shouted for help, and staff immediately rushed to assist. An audience member, Sandro Trapani, told the BBC that the incident was very shocking.
